65mm Grinding Burrs

Quick and precise, a pair 65mm flat grinding burrs produce consistent, fluffy espresso at high speed. These custom burrs are 65mm in diameter and were designed by Paolo Dalla Corte to achieve the most uniform grinding possible at a range of 300 - 450 microns. When combined with the ventilation of Max’s motor, the unique incline of the grinding teeth allows Max to produce grinds incredibly efficiently with minimal transfer of heat and minimal grind retention.

What Max lacks in size, it makes up for in smarts. Paolo Dalla Corte’s ingenious 65mm burrs ensure fast, consistent, low retention grinding.

Programmable Timed Grinding

Grind dispensing can be programmed within 1/10th of a second for both the single and double shot options via Max’s tactile encoder knobs. These sturdy knobs can be adjusted for a maximum duration of 10 seconds for your single and double doses, and Max can be set to competition mode for fully manual grinding. For simplicity’s sake, dose selection happens automatically, just grab the portafilter and grind! With a set of pins beneath the portafilter catch, Max can detect if your portafilter has one spout or two and will select the appropriate dose automatically.

Max punches above its weight class with an incredible output of 4g/sec at just 6.3” wide. 500 W of power produces fast, fluffy grinds with minimal heat or noise. When dialing in on Max, burr adjustment has a minimum variation of 0.01 mm, meaning that the perfect grind will never escape you.

Construction

Max was built with many of the same components as the DC One and DC Two grinders that preceded it. It’s compact design is owed to the unique steel frame that houses its powerful 500 W motor, with a ventilated back panel and customizable side panels that match all of the colors and variations available for Mina. With a pair of Paolo Dalla Corte’s 65mm custom burrs, Max’s grind adjustment needed to be precise, with manual stepped adjustment to dial in your perfect shot at home, or at the cafe. To prevent accidental changes, an adjustment switch locks the burrs in place, meaning peak performance at all times of the day.
